The Stains recently performed for the students at Alban Emementary where we were overwhelmed by their positive response to Bluegrass Music and the loudest applause we've ever heard. It's obvious to us...Bluegrass Music will be alive and well in the future. Over 50 letters from the students have been received expressing their appreciation of Bluegrass music.

The Stains performed in the West Virginia "Hootenanny" clogging segment on the Andy Zimmern "Bizarre Foods" show that will be broadcast Monday, February 27, 2012 on the Travel Channel. It was a HOOT! Taped at the Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, WV on 9/20/11.

Matt Poff has been busy building his own brand "BOYD" mandolins under the watchful eye of accomplished Mandolin maker Glen Dean Cecil. Ole fast fingers was carving a little too fast the other day and required four stitches in one of his fretting fingers. He's currently playing Boyd#2...it's purty.
